The message was made very clear. “Men are subject to temptation,” the preacher reminded his faithful congregation, “which means that you women are responsible for dressing in a way that does not tempt the men in your presence.”
He went on to say that if the women did not understand the power of their sexuality, they were subject to causing men to sin and would subsequently face the wrath of God for their lack of modesty.
