The trinidad+tobago film festival is partnering with UN Women and the Institute for Gender and Development Studies (IGDS), UWI to present The Power of Women in Film, on Friday 22 September, from 9am, at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad.
This Non-governmental organization addresses issues relating to women and children (especially girls), the most vulnerable people. Concerns are dealt with as touching sustained livelihood for women and children. Matters regarding rape, child abuse, violence towards women and children, FGM - are set at top priority. 24 hour Help lines are available, seminars and workshops are organised and welfare programs are provided for women, children and widows.
